The problem
Field operators needed to record asset events in locations where connectivity was unreliable. Supervisors also needed dependable, centralized records without slowing down work in the field.
The solution
- Architected an offline-first mobile app for 500+ field operators with embedded QR code scanning for fast asset selection.
- Built a resilient local Expo SQLite storage engine with automated background synchronization to Supabase PostgreSQL whenever the device comes online.
- Engineered Day/Night shift logging, editable meter start readings, dynamic runtime calculations, and a standalone supervisor dashboard for review and exports.
